Tonleitern aus OsteuropaAntwort mit Zitat Beitrag editieren/löschen Nach weiteren Beiträgen von samu suchen Diesen Beitrag einem Moderator melden        IP Adresse Zum Anfang der Seite springen

hi

i saw your "Tonleitern aus Osteuropa" on the site
i hav a question now

if i read your scales correctly...

Mogen Ovos = aeolisch (nat. moll)
D,E,F,G,A,bH(/A#),C,D

and if i go to "www_looknohands_com/chordhouse/piano"

Magen Avot (same as Mogen Ovos but in english)
D,Eb,F,F#,G#,A#,C,C#
and if i go to "www_all-guitar-chords_com/guitar_scales.php?scch=D&scchnam=Jewish+(Magen+Abot)&get2=Get&t=0&choice=1"
they say me the same thng as in chordhouse!

but again on wiki " en_wikipedia_org/wiki/Jewish_prayer_modes"

they say the same thing as you say

so is there a bug on chordhouse and all-guitar-chords (both the same bug) or is there a bug on your site and wiki?

or do i get the scale totaly wrong on all sites?

i am not very genious in music but i think i can read a scale and i think the same scale on wiki and on your site and the same scale on chordhouse and guitar chords are different

same problem occours on the scale Adonoy Moloch = mixolydisch
chord house and all guitars display a different scale then you and wiki

Ahava Rabboh oder Freygisch is the only scale that is the same on every site, on that everyone agrees

can you help me now?
did you copy it from wiki?
do you have other sources which can vertify the one or the other site... what is right and what is wrong?

thanks in advance

the problem is geting more and more confuse!

i guess that many automatic chord and scale generating sites take the scale over from each other...
and on theyr forums the people post what they get on such sites or from the site it self

in other words
i think all-guitar-chords looks nice but they have taken the scales from chordhouse ... i think that because i know chordhouse since many years and all-guitars-chords i know since not so long
and both give the same results

there are other similar sites with similar results but not same results

and there are many sites and forums without such such scale generating tools and they say again totaly other things then generated by the scale tools

and then there are also google-books and they again show up other scales then all before

most scales look similar but never the same!

i am interessted in the jewish scales!
there are 3 scales which i see often

Adonai Malakh
Ahaba Rabba
Magen Abot

and there are some more which i dont see often

most western scales have 7 tones + octave
jewish scales are different some have more then 7 tones
i am searching and reading a lot
and i guess many people try to bring up all the jewish scales in a 7 + octave system and i strongly beleave that this is wrong!

but i still have not found enough sources to say which ones are the correct jewish scales!

maybe there is no correct jewish scale... maybe they define different scales as jewish at different places

i know some scales have different names
some scales are jewish but also spanish or ukrainian or a variation of a church mode
but the i think most scales by generator tools or in forums are wrong... some people try to bring up a jewish Adonai Malakh scale with 7+octave tones and thats maybe a what ever scale but not the jewish scale because most sources (jewish music books) agree that there are at least 9 tones in it

is someone out there who knows the exact jewish scales and maybe the history behind it with a bit more proofes then wiki or scale generating tools or such things?

can some one explain why there are so many different scales out there under the same name?
